HOW TO COMPRESS FILE ON ANDROID
The process of compressing folder is pretty easy with ZARCHIVER on the device and if the steps below are strictly followed, then I can assure you that you’ll be able to compress files your Android device.
Step1: Click on the ARCHIVER app after installed to open and click on the biggest drop down menu icon on the right of the screen and click on create.
Step2: After create, click on your choice out of the two options that displayed either Folder or Archive.
Step3: Since we are creating a compress folder, choose archive and click on setting to configure your archived file to suit your need like adding password, the level of file compression etc. and once all these have been handled, you can start adding your files.
Step4: Finally, decompressing your file is just very easy, most especially when a file is mailed to your or downloaded to your device, the following option can be used to decompress it but first of all is to view the content of the compressed archive.
Click to open your app and find your archive using the file manager and click on archive when you find it, click on it and some options will be displayed which you can choose your choice from.
In the picture below, there are three options for extraction, then chose the option that best satisfy your choice.
NOTE: Better to select the second option because this will create a new folder and extract all your files into it.
After extraction, the lists of extensions below are compatible with your compressed or archived file:
7z (7zip), zip, rar, bzip2, gzip, XZ, iso, tar, arj, cab, lzh, lha, lzma, xar, tgz, tbz, Z, deb, rpm, zipx, mtz.
Congratulation, your file has been compressed.
